Jazzed About Outcomes: Using CEEDAR’s Roadmaps for Educator Preparation and Policy Reform

This session will show how state leadership teams can leverage CEEDAR’s roadmaps to accelerate blueprint implementation and achieve meaningful outcomes. Using the Roadmap for Educator Preparation Reform, we will highlight strategies to help educator preparation programs integrate evidence-based and high-leverage practices within and across coursework and field experiences (Goal 1). Through real-world examples from the Policy Collaboratory, we’ll show how teams can use the Roadmap for Tracking and Evaluating Policy to make data-driven decisions to strengthen efforts in attracting, preparing, and sustaining teachers and leaders (Goal 2).

Strategic Solutions to Special Education Teacher Shortages: Leveraging Data, Tools, and Systems

Join us for a session on the Educator Shortages in Special Education Toolkit, a comprehensive resource co-developed by CEEDAR and the Center on Great Teachers and Leaders to guide state and district teams in diagnosing and addressing shortages of special education teachers. This interactive toolkit pairs short-term strategies to meet immediate staffing needs with long-term, systemic approaches to attract, prepare, and retain an effective special education workforce, complemented by practical tools, data supports, and facilitation guidance.
