4.1 Teacher candidates will suggest appropriate members for the MTSS-I process and discuss how parents should be involved in the decision making process. 

4.2 Teacher candidates should be able to explain when parents/caregivers should be notified about MTSS-I and how they can ensure that parent/caregiver engagement strategies are culturally responsive and sustaining.

4.3  Finally, teacher candidates should be able to discuss how to conduct progress monitoring and respectfully communicate student progress and assessments with parents/caregivers.

4.1 Leader candidates will be able to propose an appropriate group of team members for an MTSS-I process and provide a clear rationale to all stakeholders about why MTSS-I is an effective model for supporting student success. 

4.2 Leader candidates would be able to provide a clear timeline for how and when parents/caregivers are notified of the process. 

4.3 Leader candidates will be able to provide a rationale for how parent/caregivers/teachers/and other stakeholders should be involved in the MTSS-I process. 

4.4 Leader candidates can support parent/caregiver decision making in culturally responsive and sustaining ways. 

4.5 Leader candidates should be able to discuss how to plan for ongoing progress monitoring and respectfully communicate student progress and assessments with parents/caregivers.
