This paper features an innovation configuration (IC) matrix that can guide principal leadership professionals toward inclusive and high-achieving schools for students with disabilities. Reflective of our democratic values, all children living in the United States are eligible to receive a public school education. Some children have widely divergent cultural backgrounds and atypical levels of development that make learning a challenge for them, but to inclusive school leaders, each student has promise.
