About the Convening

The CEEDAR Center and the IRIS Center are collaborating to plan, implement, and evaluate a convening of CEEDAR Intensive Technical Assistance (TA) States with a particular focus on improving the quality of personnel preparation programs for teachers and leaders.

Session topic highlights include:

What does it take for teacher and leader candidates and novices to be effective? High Leverage Practices (HLPs) and Evidence Based Practices (EBPs) in action
Defining and conceptualizing MTSS and contextualizing HLPs and EBPs across general, special, and leadership education
Increasing preparation program faculty and other providers’ capacity to design practice opportunities
Curricular and programmatic review and reform
Aligning statewide efforts to improve capacity: High-leverage strategies for scale up
